Connecting Teltonika FMC003 to OBD Port
Locate the OBD Port
- The OBD-II port is typically located under the dashboard, near the steering wheel
- Common locations include:
- Under the dashboard on the driver’s side
- Near the center console
- Behind the ashtray or storage compartment
Prepare the Device
- Ensure the Teltonika FMC003 device is powered off
- Check that the OBD connector is clean and free from damage
- Verify that the device’s firmware is up to date
Connection Steps
- Insert the OBD connector into the vehicle’s OBD-II port
- The connector should click into place when properly seated
- Do not force the connection if it doesn’t fit easily
- Ensure the device is securely mounted to prevent movement while driving
Verification
- The device’s LED indicators should show:
- Power LED: Solid green when properly connected
- GSM LED: Blinking when searching for network
- GPS LED: Blinking when searching for satellites
- Wait for the device to initialize (typically 1-2 minutes)
