Understanding Your Device’s Status
Your sense band uses LED patterns to communicate its current status, battery level, and any issues that need attention. Understanding these indicators helps you know when your device is working properly and when it needs attention.
Battery Level Indicators
Charging Status
- Four red LEDs rotating clockwise - Device is charging normally
- All four red LEDs steady on - Device is fully charged
- No LED activity - Device is not receiving power (check connection)
Battery Life Expectations
- Typical usage - 5-7 days on a full charge
- Heavy usage - 3-5 days with continuous heart rate monitoring
- Light usage - 6-7 days with minimal activity tracking
Connection Status Indicators
Bluetooth Pairing Status
- Four red LEDs rotating clockwise (fast) - Searching for phone connection
Error States and Troubleshooting
Device Not Responding
- No LED response - Device may be powered off or battery depleted
- Try charging - Connect to charger to check if device powers on
- Check button press - Press the reset button with a pin or Sim card removal tool to restart device
- Contact support - If device still doesn’t respond contact support
Connection Problems
- Fast rotating LEDs - Device can’t find your phone
- Check Bluetooth - Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled
- Check distance - Keep device within 10 meters of your phone
Sensor Issues
- Check fit - Ensure device is worn correctly and snugly
- Clean sensor - Clean the optical sensor area
- Adjust position - Move device slightly on your wrist. Ensure that the Polar 360 logo is facing your wrist.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Device Won’t Charge
- Check cable connection - Ensure cable is properly connected
- Try different power source - Use different USB charger or computer
- Check cable condition - Look for damage to charging cable
- Clean charging contacts - Clean the charging port and cable contacts
Device Won’t Connect
- Check Bluetooth - Ensure phone Bluetooth is enabled
- Restart device - Use reset button to restart
- Restart phone - Restart your smartphone
- Check app - Ensure Sense app is up to date
Inaccurate Readings
- Check fit - Ensure device is worn correctly
- Clean sensor - Clean the optical heart rate sensor
- Adjust position - Move device slightly on wrist
- Check battery - Low battery can affect sensor accuracy
When to Seek Help
Contact Support If:
- Device won’t power on after charging
- LEDs show unusual patterns not described in this guide
- Device won’t connect after troubleshooting
- Sensors not working despite proper fit and cleaning
- Battery drains very quickly (less than 2 days)
Emergency Situations
- Device gets wet - Your sense band is water resistant to 30m but you should remove from water and dry immediately.
- Device overheats - Disconnect from charger and contact support
- Physical damage - Stop using and contact support
- Skin irritation - Stop wearing and consult healthcare provider
Maintenance Tips
Preventive Care
- Keep device clean - Regular cleaning prevents sensor issues
- Store properly - Keep in cool, dry place when not in use
- Handle carefully - Avoid dropping or rough handling
- Keep Dry - Remove your sense band before showering/bathing
- Update firmware - The sense application automatically updates the firmware weekly should one be available.
